Jordan is the perfect destination to add on to your Egypt holiday adventure just as Egypt is the perfect extension to your Jordan tour. This add-on tour of Jordan is best taken prior to your Egypt tour because, while Jordan is wonderful and a must to visit, Egypt has a greater wow factor. We like our guests to arrive home after their wonderful holiday on a high of excitement for all that they have seen and experienced.
Jordan Tour Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Amman visiting Madaba then Travel on to Petra in the South of Jordan
Arrival in Amman at Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by our Jordan tour manager before meeting your driver for your private car journey through Jordan. First stop is at Madaba where you will see an ancient and unique Mosaic pilgrimage map before exploring the local area. From here you will continue to Petra. Overnight in Petra Guest House Hotel (or similar).

Day 02: Full day at Petra on Your Jordan Tour
Following breakfast, you have a full day dedicated visit of the lost Nabatean city of Petra with a personal guide. You’ll pass through the fabled SIQ, an immense sandstone passage that opens out to reveal the famous Treasury one of the new 7 wonders of the world. Continue on to see hundreds of ancient Temples, Royal Tombs, Roman theatres and houses. There is so much to explore at this site and there are many opportunities to enjoy the local culture. Lunch is served in a lovely restaurant on the site. Overnight Petra Guest House Hotel (or similar). (B, L, D)
Day 03: Visit Little Petra
Full day in Little Petra (Siq al-Barid) which is an archaeological site located north of Petra and the town of Wadi Musa. Like Petra, it is a Nabataean site, with buildings carved into the walls of the sandstone canyons. As its name suggests, it is much smaller, consisting of three wider open areas connected by a 450-metre (1,480 ft) canyon. Little Petra is part of the Petra Archeological Park, though accessed separately, and is a UNESCO Site like Petra. This is a beautiful place to visit and we endeavour to go there at a time when there are not many tourists visiting. Although most tourists choose to spend their time exploring Petra and ignore this absolute hidden gem. Overnight Petra Guest House Hotel (or similar). (B, L, D)
Day 04: Explore Wadi Rum on Your Jordan Tour & Marvel at the Beauty of Nature
Today we take a trip to the fabulous Wadi Rum. Wadi Rum is also known as the Valley of the Moon and is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan and is a nature and cultural reserve that every tourist to Jordan should see. Explore Lawrence of Arabia territory by 4 wheel drive through the desert. Climb a sand dune and enjoy the sheer beautiful majesty and stillness that nature has to offer.
Drive north through the barren countryside of Jordan along the shore of the Dead Sea with Israel in the distance. This is a thoroughly enjoyable journey as you travel down 400 metres below sea level.
On arrival at your hotel beside the Dead Sea, you are free to enjoy all that this luxury resort has to offer. Overnight Holiday Inn Dead Sea. (B, D)
Day 05: Enjoy and be Pampered at Your Luxury Dead Sea Resort
Enjoy a full day at the Dead Sea. Take a swim in the very salty water and enjoy the benefits of the Dead Sea mud baths freely available at the shoreline.
Perhaps you may like to be pampered at the day spa or swim in one of the many swimming pools.
The food at this hotel is plentiful and delicious. Today is about totally relaxing and unwinding to prepare yourself for journey through Egypt. Overnight at Holiday Inn Dead sea. (B, D)
Day 06: Dead Sea and Travel to Amman For Flight to Egypt
Today we travel to the Amman Queen Alia International Airport for our morning flight to Cairo to connect with your Egypt Tour. You will be met at the at the Cairo International airport prior to immigration before being taken by coach to Giza where you will check into the beautiful Mena House Hotel at the base of the Great Pyramid. • NB: If any increase in entrance fees for the included sites takes place, the cost will by necessity be passed on to you as prices are controlled by the Jordanian Government, in which case you will be informed accordingly of the difference in cost.
Entry Visa to Jordan
You need to have a valid passport at least 6 months beyond your scheduled return date to enter Jordan just as you do for Egypt. The cost of single entry visa to Jordan for all nationalities is currently 40 JD obtained upon arrival at the airport.
